GENERAL

The Security Guard’s primary responsibility is to protect the people and property of the Crown Recovery Center campus from possible criminal activity.  Patrols and monitors physical property of the campus both interior, exterior of all campus buildings and  common areas.  Responds to and reports concerns of any kind in a timely manner.   

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

High school graduate or GED requiredBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferredPrevious work experience as a security guard or related position is preferred  Substance abuse field experience preferred.Excellent communication skills.Analytical and multitasking skillsAttention to detail and organization a must

GENERAL DUTIES

Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authoritiesMonitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowdsProvides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campusContacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergencyAfter business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secureInvestigates reports of suspicious activity on the propertyReasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrivesEscorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premisesMaintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions.Performs other related duties as assigned
