Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) is at the heart of Thales Decision making to manage our mid to long term demand and supply. In a rapid growing Defense market is this process more important than ever. We are seeking for a dynamic and experienced S&OP Supply Planners to join the S&OP team.
This role is pivotal to ensure the seamless alignment of our supply chain operations with our strategic and operational plans. The S&OP Supply Planner plays an essential role in ensuring a balanced and efficient supply chain, supporting the organization’s overall goals of meeting customer demand, optimizing inventory, and reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for Industries to balance supply and demand in the 6-36 month horizon by aligning supply chain strategies with business goals.Prepare and facilitate the Supply Review Meeting with Industry Director, Line- and APRU Managers, Master Planners, Industrial Work package Managers and other stakeholders.Develop together with Industries of the S&OP production plan to meet the (forecasted) demand.Work out scenario’s together with Industry to address changes in demand and/or supply with focus on demand/supply imbalances (Man- and Bottleneck Machine capacity, Materials) as input for Supply Review and Executive Management.Handover the S&OP supply plan to the Master Planner.Work closely together with the S&OP Planner Materials (including backup of this role) who is responsible for the long-term Material forecast which is key input for procurement to establish/update Long Term Agreements and the timely procurement of (long lead) items.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within S&OP Supply Planning.If you have a passion for S&OP, Industrial Supply Chain Management in an complex, high-tech and fast growing industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Why you'd be a good match
Proven experience in S&OP, supply chain planning, preferably in a complex high mix – low volume production environment Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the bigger picture in a complex environment.Excellent communication skills to explain the S&OP Production Plan, Resource Plan and different scenario’s to both internal and external stakeholders (Segment, Finance etc).Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience with planning with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably OracleCertification in supply chain or materials management (e.g., APICS, CPIM).What's in it for you
