CTG is seeking to fill a Rx Java and AWS Engineer opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ. Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: Ongoing contract Duties: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale applications using RxJava and functional programming principles. Build and optimize solutions leveraging public cloud-managed services within AWS and GCP. Develop data pipelines and streaming solutions using Spark and Apache frameworks (Flink, Storm, Beam). Work with both relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring scalable and secure data storage and access. Containerize and deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE. Monitor and optimize system performance using Grafana and Prometheus. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into enterprise frameworks. Utilize version control and CI/CD pipelines with Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN). Skills: Strong multi-stack engineering background with hands-on RxJava and functional programming experience. Expertise in public cloud services, especially AWS and GCP. Proficiency with Java (6+ years of strong programming and project experience). Experience with Spark, Apache Flink/Storm/Beam for data streaming. Solid understanding of Postgres/PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases. Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE. Monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus. Frameworks and tools: Vert.X, Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN). Experience: 6+ years of Java programming with proven enterprise project experience. Hands-on experience with RxJava and functional programming in production environments. Track record of designing and deploying applications on AWS and GCP. Experience with large-scale distributed systems, streaming frameworks, and containerized deployments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
