RVT / Veterinary Technician Supervisor - College Park Animal Hospital

Location: 1203 Cleveland Avenue Suite 2, East Point, GA 30344

VCA College Park Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (or RVT-eligible), or Experienced Veterinary Assistant with a passion for leadership to join our team as Veterinary Technician Supervisor.

Our 2.5-doctor practice is AAHA-accredited and working toward Fear Free certification.  We offer primary care, surgery, dentistry, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, and more.  Our small, tight-knit team ensures great communication and opportunity to learn and grow in a fun and caring environment!  

Our hours are Monday through Friday 8a-6p.

Our College Park location is minutes away from everything the city of Atlanta has to offer, with a small community feel.  We also serve neighboring communities of Hapeville and East Point.

About the Role

This role will allow you to take the skills and experience you’ve gained over your years in this profession and put them to great use in our hospital. This is a working supervisory position which is responsible for the leadership and development of the patient care team.   Technical skills that you will be utilizing include:

VenipunctureCatheter placementRadiologyAnesthesia monitoringPhysical examinations and patient assessmentSurgical preparation and assistingDentistryLaboratory workPharmacyPatient recoveryCompassionate patient care

Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to:

Providing leadership, training and support to our patient care teamSupporting current department policies and proceduresScheduling staff and conducting team meetingsAccurately handling and recording controlled drugsRecord keepingMarketingFacility maintenance
