**Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT** **Department: Internal Medicine** **Location: Oakville, ON** **Mississauga-Oakville Emergency and Specialty Hospital** is currently welcoming a dedicated full-time **Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)** to join our team. Our Internal Medicine-focused RVTs have the opportunity to work with and learn from other RVTs and knowledgeable support staff, as well as our board-certified Specialists. Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital is an asset; our RVTs are given the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed. + **Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT** or eligible to register + Ability to perform a variety of clinical procedures, including (not limited to): Venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house lab work, patient assessment, sedation and anesthesia, and patient recovery + Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a steady, often fast-paced environment + Willing to further enhance technical skills and expertise + Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment + Confident and supportive team player who can also work independently when required + Flexibility, willingness and passion are needed to provide the highest standards of care for our patients, clients and each other! **Schedule:** 40 hours/week (4 x 10-hour shifts) **What VCA Canada Offers** Join our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
