RUST Developer

Description

This indiviudal will be responsible for developing new features for the 24MM project.

Our Toyota Connected Labs team is looking for a Rust Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex cutting edge embedded platforms. Ideal candidates will apply their knowledge in a highly energized, fast-paced, and innovative environment while working on Toyota Connected products.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to full software development life cycleWrite maintainable, extensible, tested code, while complying with coding standardsProduce specifications and determine operational feasibilityContinuously integrate and deliver software components into a fully functional software systemFacilitate end to end user testing with customersTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systemsWork closely with product owners to shape and deliver features to customers

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of software engineering experienceExperience writing clean, concise, tested, maintainable code in RustExperience in deploying Rust applications to production or providing support for Rust applications in productionHands on experience applying current best practices and principles in software developmentAbility to work well in a team oriented, agile software engineering environmentAbility to learn and apply new technologies, programming practices, patterns, and methodsBasic knowledge of modern architectures, CI/CD practices, and/or related competencies within the engineer’s disciplineDemonstrates problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision making skillsSolutions-oriented with an ability to keep an open mind while finding agreeable solutionsOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leadersExhibits integrity and high standards in work qualityExcellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
