Unique Skills:

Has CNC background KNowledge of CNC Programming  KNowledge of router bits, Feed rates and spindle speeds Can read a tape measure  Good Communication skills Capapble of working on excell, outlook , word and Engineering Drawings

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years Five (5) years of related experience or education to include two (2) years experience with similar automated equipment. Experience in PC applications preferred.

Position Purpose:

Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials and layout techniques.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: Download program files to set up machine for cutting/milling to blueprints and/or engineering documents.

Test program and ensure machine is set up in accordance with drawings.

Remove and/or replace cutting tools and offsets as required. Inspect condition of tools and replace as needed.

Manipulate programs to fit inserts into material, ensuring fit and conformity.

Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents.

Edge-fill and/or seal and sand panels.

Identify material and appropriate cutting tools. Set up material and inspect for serviceability.

Write and/or edit CNC programs based on blueprint specifications.

Additional Functions: Train lower level CNC technicians. .

Monitor material supply. .

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines. .

Complete paperwork and other documents as required. .

Maintain a clean and safe work environment .

Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. .

Perform other duties as assigned.
