Job Summary

The SAP Core Banking Integration Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end integration design and delivery for SAP Core Banking programs, covering modules such as Deposits Management, Loans Management, and Bank Customer Accounts (BCA). This includes working across legacy systems, payment engines, regulatory platforms, and digital channels to ensure secure, accurate, and stable integration with SAP’s core banking platform.

The role requires a deep understanding of SAP Banking Services architecture, message structures, middleware platforms, and integration frameworks. The Integration Lead serves as a point of coordination between technical and functional teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead integration architecture for SAP Core Banking transformation initiativesManage design of interfaces across Deposits, Loans, and BCA modulesCoordinate with middleware teams (SAP PI/PO, CPI) for development and deploymentDefine message structures, formats, mapping logic, and transformation rulesEnsure secure and efficient communication between SAP Core and external systems (CRM, Channels, AML, CBS)Validate data flows, posting behavior, and reconciliation logicConduct integration testing, cutover dry runs, and post-go-live stabilizationOversee error handling framework, monitoring tools, and support modelsEnsure alignment with security, audit, and data protection standardsMaintain technical documentation, interface catalogs, and field-level mappings

Core Modules

1. SAP Deposits Management (SAP DM)

Handles savings, checking, current, and time deposit accounts.Includes account creation, maintenance, interest calculation, and fees.

2. SAP Loans Management (SAP CML – Consumer & Mortgage Loans)

Manages loan contracts (mortgage, personal, commercial).Covers disbursements, repayments, interest, and fee calculations.

3. SAP Bank Customer Accounts (SAP BCA)

Core account processing for retail and corporate customers.Supports posting of transactions, overdrafts, interest accruals.

4. SAP Payment Engine

Central payment processing hub.Manages payment routing, clearing, and settlement (domestic/international).

5. SAP Collateral Management

Tracks and manages securities or assets pledged against loans.Supports valuation, eligibility checks, and margin calls.

6. SAP Account Management for Retail Banking (AMRB)

Extension of SAP BCA for broader customer account handling.Often integrated with customer-centric services.

7. SAP Loans Origination

Front-end processing for loan applications and approvals.Includes credit scoring, documentation, and compliance checks.

8. SAP Business Partner (BP)

Central master data module for individuals and organizations.Shared across all modules for consistent customer/vendor data.

9. SAP Profitability and Cost Management (P&CM)

Assesses customer/product profitability.Cost allocation and internal performance analysis.

10. SAP General Ledger (FI-GL) Integration

Financial postings from banking operations directly update core accounting.Ensures consistency between banking and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldSAP certification in Core Banking or Integration/Middleware technologies preferredProject Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is an advantageBanking integration or architecture certifications (TOGAF, CBAP) are a plus

Experience

10+ years of SAP project experience with at least 5 years in Core Banking and integrationsHands-on experience with integrations for Deposits Management, Loans, and BCADeep involvement in banking implementations or migrations in large-scale environmentsExperience integrating SAP with external channels, core banking systems, and compliance tools

Technical & Functional Skills

Expertise in:SAP Banking Services (Deposits, Loans, BCA)Middleware Platforms: SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, REST/SOAP APIs, IDoc, MQFile & Message Formats: XML, JSON, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, flat filesFamiliarity with integration touchpoints: General Ledger (FI), Collateral Management, TreasuryExperience in batch framework configuration, mass posting, and asynchronous messagingUnderstanding of field-level data mapping, error logging, retries, and reconciliation logicAbility to collaborate with functional, infra, and third-party solution teams

Soft Skills

Strong communication and coordination across technical and business teamsSolution-oriented with a focus on stability, accuracy, and performanceExperience in managing cross-functional delivery teams and third-party vendorsStructured documentation, escalation handling, and integration governanceComfortable working in high-pressure environments with tight delivery schedules

Work Environment & Conditions

Consulting and project delivery environment in banking transformation programsTravel may be required within the Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaCollaboration with SAP functional consultants, banks, channel providers, and regulatorsInvolvement in mock runs, cutover execution, interface validation, and post-go-live supportContinuous learning aligned with banking regulations and SAP product roadmapHigh-impact role requiring full alignment with compliance, audit, and risk teams
