RPG Developer
Job Description A large life insurance organization is looking for a qualified and experienced Mid-Senior level RPG Developer to join their Integration Team. This individual will be joining a team of 7-8 people and will be working in an Agile environment. 50-60% of this person’s day will be spent coding with RPG in a IBMi/AS400 Mainframe environment as well as being responsible for building Rest Services. This person will also be working cross functionally with other teams and developers, so they must possess strong communication skills and be able to participate in a collaborative environment. Skills and Requirements - 5+ years of professional development experience with RPG. - Must be able to build REST Services within IBMi/AS400 which are consumed by other applications for integration purposes. - Must have previous experience working in a Mainframe environment, preferably IBMi/AS400. - Ability to prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written or configured (i.e., contributing to Agile story). - Experience working on Kanban team and managing work in Agile environment. - Ability to do code review of RPG programs. - Experience working with a tool such as Jira, Aldon, Confluence, etc. - Bachelor’s degree - Previous experience working in the life insurance industry - Previous experience working with DB2 - Previous Java Development experience - Experience with transitioning systems to modern platforms - Previous experience working with Aldon for code management/version control null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
