Job Description ROV Pilot/Technician – Subsea Operations
Location: Offshore, living in the US
Citizenship: U.S. Citizens Only
Security Clearance: Current or recently held US security clearance strongly preferred
An industry-leading organization with US Flag offshore vessels is seeking an experienced ROV Pilot/Technician to join its global operations team.
This hands-on role involves offshore work supporting remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and Sea Plow systems used in critical subsea infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ROV and Sea Plow systems deployed globally. Support offshore missions, including installation and repair of subsea cable systems. Monitor and evaluate contractor performance during subsea operations. Uphold safety standards and enforce procedural compliance onboard vessels. Manage onboard inventory, including system spares and critical components. Perform preventative maintenance and conduct system readiness checks. Assist with mobilization/demobilization of subsea systems and equipment builds. Provide clear operational feedback to leadership regarding system performance and contractor effectiveness. Complete administrative duties related to offshore submersible operations. Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in the ROV industry. Strong technical or engineering background, with hands-on experience operating and maintaining ROV or Sea Plow systems. Self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe software. Additional Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen. Current or recently held U.S. security clearance is strongly preferred.
