System One is seeking to contract with a highly capable and motivated Rotating Machinery SME to interface with suppliers. This position reports to the System Design Manager and is focused on integrating and coordinating the work of our client's engineers and system suppliers, fostering a collaborative working relationship, and ensuring hardware design meets design intent.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years direct experience with proven mechanical systems skills. Experience with large vertical pump design and manufacture. Experience with full hardware lifecycle, from cradle to grave. Supplier/Contractor coordination and project management experience required. Experience in high temperature and multi-discipline integration highly desired, with nuclear handling process systems, fluid systems, or fluid system component design a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in fluid and structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills. Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence. Candidate must be a self-starter and possess the ability to coordinate and lead a design team’s effort with minimal direction. Ability to handle projects that include many competing objectives and design constraints, with the ability to resolve conflicts between objectives. Ability to work on simultaneous tasks that require a multi-disciplinary approach. Experience working to ASME NQA-1. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork. Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications. Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
