The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Rooms Controller to join the Front Office Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.

Classification: Full-Time

\n

Shift: Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

\n

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $25 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

\n

\n

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Rooms Controller, you would be responsible for daily room assignment for VIP's and all other special requests. Assist Front Desk with daily operations:

\n\nPre-assigning rooms to incoming reservations to ensure room type availability and to open opportunity for upsells.\nGreet and assist guests and respond to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner\nPerform word-processing, typing, e-mailing, data-entry, filing, faxing, copying, processing mail and taking notes and/or dictation\nAnswering all Front Office phone calls in regards to reservations, credit card authorizations and VIPs.\nCommunicate with Housekeeping, Sales & Events team on a continuous basis throughout the day.\nCoordinate department projects, as needed\nOversee maintenance of office equipment\nPerform other general office duties and assist with special projects, as needed\n
