Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Room Service Associate to support patient care by preparing and delivering meals with accuracy, timeliness, and a personal touch. In this role, you'll take patient meal orders, assemble trays based on dietary guidelines, and ensure meals are delivered with care and professionalism.

Primary Department, Division, or Unit:
Food and Nutrition Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center
Work Shift and Schedule:
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$17.05 - $22.17 per hour, depending on experience
This position is not eligible for benefits.

Job Responsibilities
+ Deliver patient meals accurately and efficiently to patient rooms, nursing units, or to designated rooms, ensuring timely service
+ Position bedside tables and trays appropriately to make meals easily accessible to patients
+ Assist patients and family members with meal and menu selections using approved scripting and customer service training
+ Utilize the Room Service Program’s computerized scanner to track meal delivery status and ensure proper documentation
+ Record and report patient food and fluid intake, as required by nursing staff or physician orders
+ Retrieve soiled trays from patient rooms and nursing units, checking thoroughly for personal items, medical equipment, or medications before returning trays to the kitchen
+ Deliver floor stock, nourishments, and supplements to nursing units, and directly to patients when needed, while monitoring stock levels for reordering
+ Communicate with nursing staff about patient meal concerns, delivery status, or specific dietary issues as appropriate
+ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by cleaning delivery carts, trays, and equipment, and assisting in the dish room as needed
+ Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures, including temperature monitoring and completing HACCP documentation
+ Restock and organize supplies for tray assembly areas to ensure efficient workflow and service continuity
+ Participate in deep cleaning of work areas and kitchen equipment, and assist with waste disposal and recycling tasks
