Robotics Tech Job ID 216803 Posted 25-Apr-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Lincoln - Nebraska - United States of America **JOB SUMMARY** Responsible for working within a 24x7 warehouse/logistics environment providing operations and maintenance services to support a fleet of robots. Expected to be a subject matter expert within the department and will act as a lead and mentor to Robotics Technician I and II employees. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Leads and sets expectations for safe work practices. Provides guidance to level I and II technicians at the site. Acts as a mentor for level I and II technicians and provides training as required. Maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems to Robotics System. Provides advanced troubleshooting support including diagnosing and repairing complex problems within the fleet. Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots control components, photo eyes, proximity sensors, servo drives, techs, and encoders. Utilizes knowledge of the Ethernet communication modules. Assists Service Technicians repairing and maintaining material handling equipment. Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures. Performs battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries. Enters downtime data in daily log, complete sPM sheets. Tracks and stores the department's inventory, including spare parts. Enters e-mail communication and date entry for database. Performs other duties as assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Technical school certificate or AA in Electrical/Electronics. 7+ years experience in Automated systems and controls required. Electrical knowledge of basics components. **CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES** None. **COMMUNICATION SKILLS** Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. **FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE** Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. **REASONING ABILITY** Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. **OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES** Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical Demands: 1. Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking 2. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 80 pounds 3. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) 4. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces Required: 1. Electrical and electronic principles 2. Preventative maintenance procedures 3. Knowledge of PLC programs 4. PC competency, Word & Excel, Kindle Platforms and Windows OS Preferred: 1. Desire to learn about and work with conveyor systems and client specific robots 2. Good mechanical and technical aptitude 3. Curious nature with a desire to learn, repair and troubleshoot material handling equipment (MHE) Understanding of LINIX and/or SQL. Advanced knowledge of Electrical concepts (ie: wiring of a 3 phase motor). **SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY** Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
