Robotic Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

Robotic Maintenance Tech will be required to maintain robotic programs for both gel coat & trimming operations.  In addition, Robotic Maintenance Tech will assist in performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine issue in automated equipment, collect data to be used for process improvements, participate on cross-functional process improvement teams, and assist with other duties as needed by the business.  This position will also be responsible for using off-line software to develop and maintain programs for the robotic application

Essential Functions:

Uses off-line software to maintain programs for robotic applications. Inspects and measures work products to verify conformance to specificationsPartners with programming and production to troubleshoot issues, minimize equipment downtime, and improve repeatabilityAdjusts robot controls and guides as neededWorks with production & engineering teams to develop robot dolliesOperates industrial robots to specifications to satisfy production needs.Starts robot, engages feed and observes operationsMust be able to work in a team environment, remain flexible, and perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Must have strong mechanical skillsMust be willing to expand their knowledge of automated equipment through on and off-site training coursesA minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing experienceAllen Bradley PLC/Controls Experience strongly preferred3D CAD experience a plusExperience Maintaining and Operating robot systemsFanuc and ABB programming knowledge strongly preferredAbility to multi-taskAbility to read and understand blueprintsBasic computer skillsHigh School diploma or GED required, additional certifications a plusRequires ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manualAbility to work in a hot and dusty environment, using protective clothing and respirator if neededAbility to climb ladder.Ability to meet multiple time-based deadlines with varying degrees of urgency.Must be able to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive wayMust be flexible to work extended hours and off-shifts to support the requirements of the business.

Working Conditions:

Must always possess the desire and ambition to work safely and report all hazards to their Supervisor/Manager immediatelyMust understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agenciesMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The pay range for this position is $22.40 – $25.00, hourly.  The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.  At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
