Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5-8 years experience required in automotive assemblyHands-on experience programming robots (Fanuc and Kuka)2-3 years experience with match metal and dimensional issuesUnderstanding of I/O (transfer of information between Robot and PLC)Understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theoriesComputer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and AutocadSuperior mathematical and organizational skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as a team member and individuallyAbility to travel for day, overnight and/or extended periodsMust have own toolsDUTIESDesign and simulation reviewsProgram robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programmingWork closely with dimensional supervisors as required per project and follow up on all quality concernsWork closely with simulation dept. and designers on roll hemming head, rollers and tooling designSet up structure for robot programsProvide robotic support as requiredDevelop and control program structure as jobs progressTrain and work with other programmers to enhance skill levelAnticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot)Fastening down of tooling and robots as requiredWork closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlinesPerform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energyPerform other reasonable duties as requiredIn addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act S. 28Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
