Essential Experience:
Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing /Electrical/Mechatronics EngineeringMinimum 3 years’ experience in programming robotsHands-on experience programming robots ABB / Kuka / FanucGood understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC functionalityGood understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theoriesKnowledge of ISO 10218-1 and ISO 10218-2 robotic safety standards and how they applyExperience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling is requiredPractical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiringSound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipmentComputer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and AutocadProven ability and willingness to train and lead othersDesirable Experience:
More than 5 years’ experience in programming robotsPrevious Automotive T1 experienceProficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python.Familiarity with PLC programming and automation technologies.Simulation experience using Process SimulateExperience using robotic manufacturers native software; RobotStudio, Kuka.Sim, RoboGuideExperience with laser welding, roller hemming, dispense applicationsAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
