Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum three (3) or more years of hands-on experience programming robots (Fanuc preferred)Knowledge and experience with lasers for thermal welding and/or cutting processes (Remote laser welding and laser brazing)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and leadership capabilitiesExcellent understanding of robotic coordinate systemsWorking knowledge of communication protocols (Enet and/or Profinet)Ability to delegate work and manage multiple tasksAbility to work as a team member and individuallySound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipmentAdvanced knowledge of automated assembly equipment and processGood understanding robot safety setup, familiar with CSA Z434 and RIA robotic safety standardsGood computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel, basic 2D and 3D CAD (AutoCAD)Good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work as a team member and individuallyDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up structure of robot and laser interface and programsConfigure robot IO, weld interface and program callProvide robotic support and training as requiredSupport Laser cell design and safety requirements, ensure our design complies with most current industry standardsSupport sale department on initial concepts and equipment required for new product. Work closely with Robotic Laser lead regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlinesAnticipate and solve robotic Laser problems (troubleshoot)Contain, report and have safety hazards fixed by qualified people immediatelyKnow how to properly lockout all energy sources, including stored energyFollow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areasKnow what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properlyEnsure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality productsReport all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous ImprovementsFollow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customersPerform other related duties as requiredAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
