Key Responsibilities: + Posting results of driver scores and drive cams. + Communicates job requirements and responsibilities to drivers. + Takes responsibility for day-to-day counseling and evaluation reports to local management. + Conducts on-the-scene accident investigations; reporting and updating reports; assists drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHAreports and safety violations documents. + Following up on client's needs. + Observes drivers on the road and corrects safety problems on the scene while documenting violations. + Liaisons between drivers and both clients and organization in customer service issues. + Evaluates and monitors driver safety and performance, as well as compliance in legal, employment andlabor policy matters. + Assists Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance regarding drug testing and recordkeeping. + Assists in dispatching, driving, interviewing, and miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed. + Meets all driver qualifications at location. + Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: + A High School Diploma or GED + 2-year driver experience with CDL preferred + Supervisory experience with hourly employees, with 2-3 years of transit supervisory experience preferred + Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint + Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance + Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively + Excellent verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials and general public; fluent in English + Training experience + Work extended hours regularly, including Saturday + Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality PhysicalRequirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations + Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces + Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
