JOB SUMMARY: 

R&D manager is a leadership position managing R&D team with key responsibilities in new product development, sustaining existing products, and regulatory compliance in product design and engineering processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish engineering organizational structure to meet business needs.Lead engineering team to develop new products, responsibilities include DRS development, product schedule development, resource planning, budget planning etc., all the way to the completion of DHF, closure of V&V, and new product launch.Supervise design activities to ensure design outputs complying with regulatory standards and regulations for medical device industry.Develop and maintain robust engineering processes to ensure regulatory compliance.Lead and drive DFx activities to achieve manufacturability, quality and cost target.Engage global legal team to file design patents.Develop and deploy training plan to the engineering team to improve their technical skills and regulatory compliance knowledge.Drive best practices across engineering team.Sustain existing products and support production team.Support part EOL and supplier changes to ensure the delivery.Lead engineering activities to solve technical issues on the production floor and in the field.Manage team performance and provide individual development guidance.Participate annual budget process.     Other duties may be assigned. 其他可能被安排的工作。

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor degree or above in engineering area10+ years professional experience as an engineer or comparable professional experienceExperience with project managementExperience in medical device industry is highly preferred.Experience with product development on a global basis is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Demonstrated success in leading new product development team and product launch. Excellent analytical and creative thinking with strong problem solving skills and the ability to identify and promote new technologiesDemonstrated management experience in planning, assessing, and implementing changes. Strong communication and customer relationship skills, and the ability to balance technical feasibility with marketing demands.Demonstrated experience in people management.Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to interact with other functional groups, employees and outside vendors.

Must be fluent in English and Mandarin.
