Under general supervision and according to the established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The Wound Care Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care, collecting patient history and wound information as needed in the development of the plan of care.  Educates both patients and their caregivers regarding the plan of care.  Functions as case manager and team member as assigned for a specified group of patients.
