As an RN on the OR Surgery team, you will use your comprehensive skills and expertise to collaborate with fellow caregivers providing exceptional patient care to those undergoing surgical or procedures. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in your community while enhancing your nursing skills and pursuing professional development resources at Cleveland Clinic. **A caregiver in this position works variable shifts from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. + Perform scrub functions, such as selecting and handling instruments and supplies. + Performing circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient conditions and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure. + Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning. + Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Operating room experience + One year of recent related clinical experience for internal applicants OR Two years of recent related clinical experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
