Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. **A caregiver in this position works days from 6:30AM - 7:00PM, with on-call requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. + Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during the procedure. + Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. + Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire in areas performing moderate/procedural sedation Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) + One year of RN experience Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
