As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Surgery Unit, you will provide care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. You will perform scrub and circulating functions, prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for surgery and assist the operating physician with surgical tasks. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire + One year of prior Cardiac or Surgery experience **Physical Requirements:** + Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
