This team provides each patient with the highest quality surgical care in a supportive, healing environment. **A caregiver in this position works from 7:00AM - 5:30PM, with on-call requirements.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. + Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. + Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire + One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic's Perioperative Residency Program Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. + Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. + Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
