We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The RN Program Coordinator Burn Unit works in concert with hospital and department leaders to assure optimal burn patient care service, quality outcomes, and compliance with local, state and national standards for Burn Center Designation. The Burn Program coordinator strives to achieve successful outcomes for all care and program associated with Burn Program and services as operational director for all internal/external program initiatives and requirements. **What you do in this role:** + Coordinates and evaluates overall Burn Program activities and monitors burn outcomes and overall performance. + Ensures that the Burn Registry supports the Burn PI plan. + Develops processes for collecting, coding, scoring, and validation of data entered into the Burn Registry. + Collaborates with clinicians and patients related to burn care through the continuum. + Works with educators on developing patient teaching materials and staff training materials. + Assumes responsibility for clinical coordination and consultation regarding burn care across the continuum. + Performs all Burn Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) activities, including event identification, opportunities for improvement, and actions and loop closures though the PIPS process. + Works as a team member, ensuring high levels of communication with patients. + Consults with nursing leadership as needed to achieve desired nursing outcomes. + Provides/coordinates clinical education for hospital, EMS providers, and community, as needed. + Demonstrates active participation in local, state and national trauma organizations and committees where applicable. + Participates in local and state trauma organizations. + Performs other duties as assigned + Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement What qualifications you will need: + Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire. + Associate Degree in Nursing Required, BSN Preferred. + 2 years’ experience in nursing Required. + 1 year experience in Burn Nursing Preferred. + BLS Required. + ACLS Required. + ABLS Required. + ABLS Instructor Preferred. + TNCC Preferred. + Experience in Quality/Performance Improvement preferred + Experience in Project Management preferred HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital.
