REGISTERED NURSE - PERIOPERATIVE CARE - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - ROTATING SHIFT 

Sign On Bonus: Up to $5,000 

Full-Time Benefit Eligible 

Shift: Rotating, 40 Hours per week between 9:00 AM and 11:30 PM, Rotating weekends and on call hours, two holidays per year

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BLS). 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Two or more years Preop/PACU experience preferred or 4 years ER/ICU experience.  Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.  ACLS and PALS preferred or within 3 months of hire.   Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford Health St. John Hospital Department: Perioperative Care Anc 001 Shift: Rotating Union Code: Not Applicable
