Registered Nurse (RN)—Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Frisco is located at 12400 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033 WORK SCHEDULE: Full time Days; 7 AM - 7 PM, every other weekend and holiday requirements. INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU) DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: * We have outgrown our initial needs and are expanding critical care service lines rapidly. * 14-bed General Acute Intensive Care Unit (ICU). * Swing-bed unit based on acuity level. * Experience with a variety of patients – CRRT, IABP (Balloon Pump), Post Cardiac-Arrest, EVD, post CCL, ARDS, prone therapy, Vasoactive drips, and step-down patients HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED * Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; * BSN preferred. * 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required; * Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred. * Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire. * BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support – Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly * ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Within 90 days of hire required * CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention—within 30 days required WHAT YOU WILL DO: * The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs. * The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by: active listening and exemplifying a non-judgmental attitude * The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations. * Perform other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL PERKS OF BEING A TEXAS HEALTH EMPLOYEE: * Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits. * Delivery of high-quality patient care * Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). * A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth MORE ABOUT TEXAS HEALTH FRISCO: Texas Health Frisco is a 93-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital, and medical office community offering primary care and multispecialty medicine.
