The community youll be caring for : AdventHealth Riverview
AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024
The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.
This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.
AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and womens care.
The role youll contribute :
Specialty role responsible for the supervision and implementation of the Digestive Health Program; Bariatrics, Colorectal, Reflux, GI, and General Surgeries. The coordinator will work closely with the surgeons and their office staff to ensure an uneventful and successful progression for the patient through the entire surgery process. Program to be based on knowledge inherent in the Digestive Health scope. Specifically coordinating the patient pathways through Bariatrics, General Surgery, Colorectal, Gastroenterology, and Reflux management, with utilization of a multidisciplinary approach. Program development is organizational wide for specific advancement towards acquisition of or maintenance of an accreditation protocol. Plans, teaches and through summative and formative evaluation, reviews clinical pathways for nurses, leaders, physicians, and clinical staff. Participates in and uses evidence-based practice and research to promote professional development and optimal patient outcomes related to managing the digestive health patient. Acts as the digestive health expert for the organization in relation to assigned core measure(s) and pertinent regulations. Ability to statistically coordinate sampling of medical records that pertain to the digestive health patient throughout the organization. Ability to evaluate, summarize, and disseminate data to appropriate personnel in the organization. Works collaboratively with all disciplines in the organization to establish and implement action plans for resolution of identified areas of concern.

ASSESSMENT: Proactively intervenes in complex patient situations pertaining to the Digestive Health patient, which results. in improved patient outcomes with consideration of cultural sensitivity and unique learning styles.
Assess organizational status in relation to assigned core measure(s) Performs concurrent data review and rounding for assigned patients within designated timeframe.
Communicates information gathered from concurrent medical record review to the appropriate leaders for analysis and corrective action to improve quality outcomes.
Assures concurrent review is performed on those patients that may trigger assigned evidence-based measure. care paths
NAVIGATION: Serves as a singly point of contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers within the program.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
3 years of clinical experience in a specialized area, such as surgery, digestive health platform or data collection within a healthcare setting.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
