RN Registered Nurse - Cardiac Holding Recovery - 40 Hours Weekly - Rotating Shift

REGISTERED NURSE - CARDIAC HOLDING RECOVERY - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - ROTATING SHIFT 

Sign On Bonus: Up to $5,000

Shift: Rotating, 40 Hours Weekly, Monday through Friday.  Varying 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts between 5:00 AM and 9:30 PM. 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Unit Description:

Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Cardiac Holding Recovery Unit is responsible for pre-op and post-op care for patients going to the Cardiac Cath Lab, the Electrophysiology Lab and the Interventional Radiology Lab.  They also assist with loop insertions, TEEs and cardioversions in the department. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM, no weekends or holidays required.   This role will work forty hours per week, a combination of 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts with variable start times.  Our average patient to nurse ratio is 2-3:1 based on patient acuity level. Our unit fosters a growth mindset through annual and on-going education.  If you are a Registered Nurse with at least two years of prior critical care, cardiology or emergency nursing experience, we want to meet you! Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
