You will be assisting with personnel assignments and training, and coordination of patient scheduling and delivery of patient care in the Integrated Clinic (Radiation Oncology/Integrated Clinic and Breast Center); providing directions and assistance to clinic staff while promoting quality and cost-effective patient care, including patient assessment, treatment, education and coordination. In this role you will also be providing coverage for clinical services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and independent prioritization of patient care activities for the Westwood and Santa Monica clinics as assigned. The Radiation Oncology Nurse embodies the essence of professional Registered Nursing, assuming both responsibility and accountability for patients within a designated time frame. Utilizing the nursing process and collaborative input from the healthcare team, our nurses delivers comprehensive care. They exemplify the professional standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA), actively engaging in ethical considerations, educational endeavors, evidence-based practice, and research. Additionally, they champion quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate leadership prowess, foster collaboration among peers, evaluate professional practice, optimize resource utilization, promote environmental health, and advocate for patients as integral components of clinical nursing practice.
