High acuity, fast-paced step-down unit. Needs good time management skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills, cardiac monitor interpretation, Ventilator/trach experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, manage chest tubes, drains, NIH Stroke Certification, Cardiac drips.
Patient Population: DKA, GI bleed, COPD, Pneumonia, Stroke, Sepsis, Urology complications.
Ratio's: 1:5
Daily Census: 23 / 23 beds

On Call Bill rate = $6.00/hr
On Call PAY rate = $3.00/hr
Call Back Bill / Call Back Pay
Call Back Bill = Regular Bill rate + $10
Call Back PAY = 1.5x regular hourly rate /hr
*If HCP is CALLED BACK we BILL + PAY a MINIMUM of 2 hrs
Holiday Bill Rate / Pay Rate
Regular Bill + $10 ; 11p day before until 11p day of holiday / Pay OT rate

Biweekly billing schedule; reverse invoices required

Emailed to local office to be relayed to recruiter/NRM to be sent to HCP
Time Tracking
Kronos – HCP will badge in/out for all shifts and breaks, HCP will email recruiter/NRM full print out of Kronos report (including all shift dates, punch in + out times visible + HCP name visible)

IV Start
Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered/needed.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a large hospital; level 1 preferred will accept level 2 experience.

+ Skills Checklist for unit submitting
+ 2 References from positions held within a year – 1 Manager/Supervisor, 1 Charge are acceptable
+ Nursys License Verification
+ All Certifications on hand (CPR/ACLS/PALS/etc)
