Logan Health is seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional care at our Heart & Lung Cardiology Specialty Outreach Clinic!
Our busy clinic sees approximately 20 patients per day. We’re looking for a PRN RN who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable with blood draws (training available if needed). If you’re a team player with a passion for patient care, this may be the position for you!
This position is vital for helping provide coverage to this bustling clinic and will require you to be available at least 2-3 per week over the next 3 months. Up to 5 days per week is also available during this time period. Following this time frame, this position will will be on an as needed basis to assist with schedule coverage.
Here's some of what you'll be doing:
+ Rooming patients
+ Perform vitals, EKGs, blood draws, and start IVs
+ Prepare patients for their telemedicine visits
+ Chart and medical records prep
+ Process medication refills and follow up on provider results
+ Conduct nurse visits, assess patients, and report findings to providers
+ Conduct cardiac stress testing
+ Patient reminder and follow up calls
+ Work alongside specialty providers and medical assistants to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications:
+ Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
+ BSN degree preferred.
+ Current HCP CPR certification required.
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.
+ Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required in certain departments and successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
+ Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
+ Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
+ Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
+ Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness.
+ Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.
+ Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.
+ Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.
+ Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.
+ Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff.
+ Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.
+ Administers medications per provider order.
+ Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies.

Shift:
Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)
Schedule: PRN, 8-hour day shifts.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
