General Summary: 

·       Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates educational activities related to nursing clinical areas across the continuum of   care. ·       Serves as a strategic consultant for nursing clinical performance initiatives to create, implement, and evaluate multi-faceted   competency-based programs, delivery mechanisms, and clinical performance. ·       Collaborates with leaders and staff to assess nursing educational needs and competencies. ·       Develops, implements, and evaluates nursing and clinical educational plans/programs. ·       Utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. ·       Consults on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs and performance processes that support core nursing and clinical competency across the organization. ·       Manages performance and competency standards for inter-professional programs to support practice at the highest extent of licensure.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

 Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.  Required professional licensure at time of hire.

PREFERENCES:

5 years of acute care experience BSN highly preferred Teaching experience preferred Emergency Room experience 72 hours of pay with rare weekends and an occasional off shift.
