Duties:
Assesses, directs, manages, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care and patient support services on a 24-hour basis to achieve a specified standard of nursing care for a designated patient population.
Ensures the existence of streamlined patient care delivery systems, which promote smooth patient transitions across the patient care continuum.
Through effective fiscal and operational management, maintains optimum patient care unit systems, including staffing, scheduling, general resource allocation, and communication systems.
Assures orientation, ongoing education, and development programs are available to expand each staff member’s individual capacity for growth.

Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care and patient support services
You will play a key role in ensuring that care provided meets established standards, promotes optimal patient outcomes, and supports organizational quality and safety goals
Partner to assess, plan, manage, and evaluate nursing care and daily operations within the Emergency Department
Ensure streamlined and effective patient care delivery systems that support smooth transitions across the continuum of care
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain an efficient and high-functioning unit
Drive clinical excellence through participation in departmental goal-setting and performance improvement initiatives
Support financial stewardship through effective operational and resource management
Facilitate orientation, training, ongoing education, and performance evaluations for nursing staff
Cultivate a collaborative, team-based environment that promotes clinical excellence and compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency setting

Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing is required. If candidate holds an ADN, a BSN degree is required within 3 years

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' RN experience with proven leadership experience

Bachelor's degree required.

 

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years nursing experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in Nursing Leadership/Other Leadership roles

 

Preferred:

Specialty-related Certification OR Leadership-related CertificationObtain Masters in Nursing or Business Related Degree within 3-5 years of hire date.RN experience in an Emergency Department
