RN NICU/Mother Baby
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **JOB SUMMARY** This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. NICU Nurse is specifically responsible for the care of the well and ill newborn who may require neonatal intensive care services. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff float are expected to float between these units. **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Previous experience in well or ill newborn, and / or obstetric care and / or acute care preferred. **Special Skills and Competencies:** 1. Must provide proof of **Basic Life Support** ( **BLS Provider** -American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer-American Red Cross) prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status. 2. Must provide proof of **Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse** training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status per State of Iowa guidelines 3.
