Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in an Endocrine Office in Morristown.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate patient care and triage phone calls for nurse questions.Manage nurse buckets and personal buckets in EMR.Follow up on patient care, including checking imaging orders, arranging biopsies, and conducting med reviews.Prepare for patient procedures and organize medications for doctors to administer.Update EMR and prescription refills.Review patient cases and questions, and prepare buckets and patient files.Employ appropriate and timely use of tasking in EHR.Maintain efficient patient flow and function as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.Assure all patients are correctly identified before providing and documenting care.Ensure proper preparation for patient visits, including preparing pertinent information needed.Provide referrals and consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR.Check and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy.Collect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately label specimens.Obtain vital signs accurately and completely as required and document appropriately in EHR.Demonstrate telephone triage protocols and document in EHR.Schedule appointments appropriately and accurately according to department guidelines.Review and update medication lists in EHR, demonstrating understanding of prescription control and refill procedures.Enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR.Essential SkillsActive NJ State Nursing License.Associates degree required; BSN preferred.Experience with EMR systems, Athena or Epic preferred.Flexibility and critical thinking skills.Initiative in outpatient, primary care, and hospital settings.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
