This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located primarily at Torrey Pines in La Jolla but oversees all Scripps Cancer Clinic sites (Rancho Bernardo, Torrey Pines, Jefferson, Encinitas Prebys). This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP)at the Manager level.

Manage RN Specialty Nurse Navigators who resource our patients throughout the continuum of care.Be responsible for the daily operations of the patient care units or departments in an efficient and cost-effective manner, including creating and managing staffing plans and ensuring appropriate equipment and resources are available to staff to do their job.Create and maintain an environment that assures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.Contribute to strategic planning of business units.Coordinate the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices.Provides leadership and direction to staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes, and internal and external customer service.Be responsible for entire scope of department/location, including facilities management, where appropriate.Provide guidance, direction and education in the professional development of Nurse Navigators.#LI-EE1

Associate's degree plus five years applicable clinical experience, two of which in a leadership role.Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through. Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.Graduate of an accredited program.Applicable experience in a healthcare environment and three years of leadership experience.Ability to effectively manage healthcare business and operational practices.Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other applicable systems.Required Certification/Registration:
Maintains current California RN license.Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
Bachelor's/Master's degree or MSN.ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.OCN.Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
