As a Respite Nurse, you’ll provide one-on-one care to children with complex healthcare needs in the comfort of their homes or within the community. This role is designed to support families by giving them a much-needed break from the daily responsibilities of caregiving. Whether caregivers need time to attend an event, run errands, schedule appointments, or simply rest, your care helps make that possible. Where You’ll Work Ames or NevadaWhen You’ll Work Primarily afternoons, evenings, and during the day on weekends. Can be regularly scheduled or as needed.What You’ll Do Provide one-on-one nursing support in the home or communityInteract with the child and participate in fun activities.Complete electronic documentation and paper MARSSkills needed: medication administration, g-tube nutrition, trach cares, experience with ventilators. What You’ll Need Current valid RN/LPN license in IowaValid driver’s license with two or fewer violations in the past three yearsActive BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red CrossExperience working with children with special health care needs preferredAbility to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English languageAbility to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.Not sure if you hit 100% of the position expectations?
