**Job Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Part time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** 32hpw; 8-hour shifts, FLEX 7a to 3:30p, with start times varying up to 2 hours, rotating weekends and holidays **Job Description:** **Duties/Responsibilities** + Monitors infusion devices on a daily basis and documents according to organizational policy + Assesses patients for appropriateness of therapy, correctness of infusion prescription and appropriate vascular access device selection + Cognizant of complication development and appropriate interventions + Participates in collaborative planning of care for the infusion patient + Implements standards of care and practice using the nursing process + Performs infusion therapy procedures correctly – including phlebotomy, medication administration, maintenance of all types of central lines and vascular access devices + Responds to calls for service in a timely manner + Intervenes on the patient’s behalf as appropriate + Demonstrates skills and knowledge at all levels of infusion practice + Documents all activities according to healthcare organizational policy + Evaluates patient care and response to care according to established criteria + Participates in unit based management performance improvement activities + Participates in product evaluations + Interacts with healthcare team on a regular basis + Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in problem identification and solving activities + Role model for other healthcare organizational staff + Identifies learning opportunities required to enhance care delivery + Serves as educational resource for healthcare organizational staff including physicians, nurses and other members of the healthcare team + Participates in research projects for infusion therapy + Demonstrates willingness to validate nursing practice through publication + Good communication and teaching skills + Capable of self-directed responsibilities and able to establish priorities in infusion care delivery + Professional image _It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required._ **Education/Experience Required** + 2 Years clinical nursing prior to specialization. + Valid state licensure + Credentialing in the specialty area is preferred + Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certified or Oncology Certified + BARD PICC Certification preferred + Proficient and competent in PICC insertion with use of U/S guidance + Collaborative relationships with members of the healthcare team and ancillary support personnel + Responsibilities will be focused with in the team-model approach for care delivery + Validated competency related to skill, knowledge and ability to provide quality infusion care **Registration/Certification** + Current RN License, Massachusetts + Graduate - accredited School of Nursing **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
