As an RN in the Oncology Unit, you will assist physicians, nurses and other caregivers in caring for patients receiving critical treatments. Your efforts can make a lasting difference in the lives of your patients and their families. **A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. + Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of hire + One year of acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience + Cancer specific certification or demonstrated ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facilities accreditation cycle Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
