There are also great shift differentials, top notch medical plans, tuition assistance, great co-workers, and a warm, welcoming work environment. **What you will do:** + Design, development, implementation, orientation and evaluation of all educational programs for paraprofessional/technical nursing support staff **Responsibilities:** + Work collaboratively with Nursing leadership in a consultative and matrix reporting relationship + Provides mechanisms for clinical follow-up of application and generalization of knowledge/skills resident care + Maintains accurate documentation/records of all orientation, inservices, mandatory and continuing education activities consistent with organization, regulatory and accrediting requirements + Collaborate with Clinical Specialist, Operations Managers, Billing and Human Resources to insure proper and accurate training + **Assist with the C.N.A training class** **Required:** + **A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New York** + Associate’s degree in Nursing or Degree of Nursing from an accredited school + 3 years or more of experience as a RN preferably in skilled nursing + Experience as a RN in an educator or supervisory role **Preferred:** + Computer literacy and comfort utilizing multiple computer applications + Registered Nurses at Our Lady of Mercy must possess a passion for caring for patients and demonstrate a respectful, caring, professional demeanor + Excellent communication in a fast paced work environment across teams on different shifts and in different departments (nursing, human resources, leadership) + Strong engagement within a team setting + Mentorship skills educating RNs, LPNs and C.N.A staff + Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field Salary: $80,496 - $108,368.00 per year Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
