Position Details:
Start Date: March 31 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: NOC (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) Hours/Week: 36 or 48 hours per week Travel- $3194 grossUnit Description:
This unit provides intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for medical, surgical, and cardiac patients who have experienced shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions. It supports a mix of medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive patients.
Job Description:
The Coronary Care Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for critically ill patients, including those who are post-operative, on ventilators, post-cardiac arrest, post-heart catheterization, and in need of hemodynamic stabilization. Responsibilities include:
Responding to codes and emergent situations as a team member within the hospital. Participating in patient and family teaching. Providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the intensive care/coronary care setting.Specific Skills/Qualifications Needed:
Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience. Active RN license in the state of Oregon. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Understanding of hemodynamics. Experience in open heart surgery recovery. Experience with sheath pulls.Minimum Requirements:
RN License in the state where the nurse will be practicing. Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills. 2 years of cardiac care experience preferred. ACLS certification may be required per state/client contract. Current CPR certification if applicable. TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable. Current health certificate as per contract or state regulations. Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age.Additional Details:
Facility will use KRONOS for timekeeping. Caregiver must send KRONOS report to Amergis. Recruiter must upload to RecruitCare as a PDF. New employee orientation for all starts will be on Mondays. If Monday falls on a holiday, orientation will be on Tuesday. Two days of new employee orientation followed by one to two days of floor orientation. COVID exemptions will be accepted.
