GENERAL SUMMARY
· Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
· Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
· Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
· Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
· Completes and signs “Request for Contingent Status: Conditions for Employment” specific to their contingent option.
· Contingent Option 1 Unit-based contingent that reports directly to the Unit Manager/Unit Director.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
· Contingent RN Option I - Previous 1.5 -2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
