**Job Description:**
The RN Care Manager Professional Development (RNPD) Specialist is an expert in educational standards within the industry, supporting and guiding caregivers in their journey of self-reliance and development. This role involves creating tools, theories, skills, and knowledge to advance the practice of professional development. The RNPD Specialist possesses competencies in both RNPD Practitioner and Specialist roles. The RNPD Specialist leads change initiatives and promotes a culture of innovation, organizational learning, and continuous professional development.
The RNPD Specialist may be required to travel to various locations to perform their work duties.

+ Pay Range: $44.42 - $65.70 Exempt

**Essential Functions**
+ Acts as a consultant and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, fostering self-reliance and collaboration. Designs and leads orientation programs that emphasize critical thinking and continuous learning. Applies adult learning principles and standardized tools to close knowledge gaps, aligning with organizational goals and national standards.
+ Collaborates across departments to identify learning needs and drive the adoption of evidence-based practices. Assesses readiness for change and leads strategic initiatives that support performance improvement and innovation in care delivery.
+ Provides structured coaching to support caregiver growth and job satisfaction. Develops and evaluates mentorship programs, promotes a culture of continuous development, and implements succession planning strategies to support career advancement.
+ Develops and guides interprofessional education and advances in care management. Fosters a culture of innovation and lifelong learning and leads organizational committees or councils to support strategic initiatives.
+ Promotes evidence-based practice and the integration of new knowledge to improve care quality. Shares research, EBP, and quality improvement outcomes through presentations, publications, and consultations.
+ Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for both new and current caregivers. Develops the implementation of new practices, initiatives, facilitates orientation and ongoing education, and supports adaptation to evolving care environments.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in Nursing or related field is required from an accredited institution. If master’s degree is in a non-nursing field, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required. Degree verification required.
+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
+ Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or related specialty.
+ Care Management certification within 24 months of hire.
+ Demonstrated experience in adult education or staff development.
+ Relevant nursing and nurse care manager experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Advanced Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPDA-BC).
+ Local, Regional, or National Presentations or Publications.

+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
