Cardiovascular Step Down Unit Registered Nurse

The Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit is the postoperative surgical unit where heart surgery patients go to after their ICU (Intensive Care Unit) stay. Once their surgery is complete, they initially go to the ICU for a day or two to recover after surgery; some longer if needed. They then come to the step down unit on their way to discharge.
