Responsibilities
Patient Care
+ Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care
+ Uses the nursing process and interdisciplinary team approach to consistently assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to meet identified self-care deficits in the Cardiac Rehab setting.
+ Delegates nursing care activities to and monitors care given by appropriate care team members in accordance with patient needs and the personal/professional capabilities and qualifications.
+ Communicates pertinent care information to multidisciplinary team members.
+ Documents care provided according to policies and procedures of the Health System.
Administrative Duties
+ Maintaining operation of equipment and call for repairs and order supplies when needed. Help keep exercise area and equipment clean. Maintaining the crash cart and ensuring supplies and medications are current and not outdated.
+ Maintain and submit documentation for accreditation of Cardiac Rehab program.
+ Review department policy and procedures and make recommendations.
Qualifications
+ Graduate of accredited nursing program
+ 2 years of experience caring for cardiac patients required
+ Maintaining RN licensure
+ Current BLS and ACLS certification (or must be obtained within 3 months of date of hire)
+ Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
+ Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English
+ Able to be proficient at teaching skills and developing a plan of care
+ Able to teach and demonstrate use of exercise equipment and monitoring equipment
+ Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new systems
+ Patient focused
+ Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
