Maintains an efficient and accurate method of abstracting, analyzing and distributing CV related data in a consistent manner while also maintaining quality of data. Participates in Quality Improvement of CV related processes based on data outcomes. **The value you'll bring to the team:** Abstracting data for mandatory reporting of registries such as Cath/PCI Registry, ACTION registry, ICD registry, CARE registry, and STS registry. Assists with data for: Cath/PCI Registry, Action Registry, ICD Registry, CARE Registry, and STS Registry as needed. Assists with the overall operation and management of Huguleys cardiovascular database(s). Responsible for data abstraction and submission to all above registries. Maintains registries - yearly enrollment, updates and changes as needed. Assists with LUMEDX APOLLO data repository. Updates data definitions and downloads to remain at most current level. Assists with XPER/Lumedx data transfers and updates Lumedx as needed. Assists in instructing Cath Lab staff in documentation of data required for ACC fields in XPER. Train and assist in managing any personnel who assist in data abstraction. Assist with monitoring STEMI patients with real time door to balloon review and problem-solving as needed. Helps to prepare reports for Cath Lab/ER team and executive team with results and data. Communicates with physicians as needed, Cath Lab and ER staff regarding on-going registry outcome and processes. Participates in development and refining of processes that involve Chest Pain Center and cardiovascular initiatives. Assists with providing information and reports from registries to Chest Pain Center chairman/committee. Assist with Stroke and Chest Pain Coordinator in producing and/or presenting reports for committees. Helps to develop general and specific reports from registry and Apollo data on outcomes and other statistics. Assists with reports generated for CV Service committee and Cath Lab committee on all data, reports and outcomes received from Registry and Apollo data. Interprets data and reports to provide information on quality improvement and identifies trends. Actively participates in Quality Improvement Processes and generates CV data to supplement Quality Improvement Processes and generates CV data to supplement Quality Improvement analysis and assists in interpretation of the data. Collaborates with CV Services chairman, CV Medical Director, VP Patient Services, Managers, personnel involved in quality improvement and other key personnel in regards to the use of cardiovascular data. Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of all patient and physician related data which is encountered during the data collection and/or data reporting process. Remains flexible to changing systems, is expected to demonstrated quality and effectiveness in work habits and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Understands the hospital computer system (Cerner) and proficiently uses the electronic medical record for retrieval of patient information.
