A Brief Overview
The Administrative House Supervisor directs and coordinates the nursing service of the hospital for a designated shift. She/He evaluates employees work performance providing disciplinary and personnel counseling in cooperation with the Head Nurse and/or Clinical Director. The Supervisor's responsibility includes participation in the identification, research and resolution of hospital problems and coordination of nursing services with the services of other departments. The Administrative House Supervisor acts in the absence of the CNO, Clinical Directors, and Hospital Administration and has the authority to make decisions that ensure quality and safe patient care.

What you will doProvide adequate staffing based on budgeted guidelines. Diffuse situations with patients and families and effectively develop alternative solutions, as well as diffuse situations with physicians and/or staff and effectively develop alternative solutions Prioritize assignments based on hospital needs and handle admissions/discharges in a timely manner. Use accurate documentation for supervisor’s daily report, staffing rosters, SERO and Complaint/Grievance forms, deaths and codes Assure that Tidelands Health staff comply with picture ID badge & dress code policies
Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree required, in lieu of BSN, min 5-7 years of experience as Administrative Supervisor
Experience Qualifications Three to five years’ experience as a professional nurse Charge Nurse experience in appropriate specialty area.
Skills and AbilitiesWork with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers. Knowledge of organization and operation of patient care unit and knowledge of nursing care techniques and methods
Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation RN Licensure in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Required Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
