We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Registered Nurse-ASC at varying levels (I, II,III,IV). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Registered Nurse-ASC I:
Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned unit
Possesses knowledge and skills to meet nursing standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nurse Practice Act with supervision
Provide patient care through nursing-based practices upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. Values specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals
Registered Nurse-ASC II:
Same duties as Registered Nurse ASC-I
Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care
Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic
Communicate information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors
Perform safe and competent nursing care according to the organization’s policy & procedures and or ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards and or AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) standards
Registered Nurse-ASC III:
Same duties as Registered Nurse-ASC I/II
Must work in 2 or more units within the department
Precepting new employees and assuming the charge role when needed. Assists with education initiatives
Contributes to process improvement and quality by auditing/tracking key performance indicators
Registered Nurse-ASC IV:
Same duties as Registered Nurse-ASC I/II/III
Must work in 3 or more units within the department
Precepting new employees and assuming the charge role when needed. Assists with education initiatives
Facilitates patient experience by assisting with the development and implementation of action plans. Contributes to process improvement and quality by auditing/tracking two key performance indicators
Promotes team knowledge by providing 2 in-services per year

Required Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
Valid Texas RN license
Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association
Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
For Registered Nurse- ASC II:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for Endoscopy and PACU departments
2+ years of RN experience in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy
Works in single unit
For Registered Nurse- ASC III:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Have one of the following certifications: Certified Ambulatory Peri Anesthesia Nurse (CAPA), Tele-ICU Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN-E), Acute/Critical Care Knowledge Professional (CCRN-k), Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN), Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB), Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) , or Ambulatory Care Nursing or Pain Management (RN-BC)
5+ years of RN in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy
Works in 2 units
For Registered Nurse- ASC IV:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
